Facebook privacy!!! Now I can descide who will be my friend’s friend

I saw people set the alarm on the TechCrunch about a Security hole on FB.  The team FB responded very quickly and shut down the chat  service . Just by inquisition I try to dig a bit more and what I have found is absolutely shocking. If you watch the TC video closely,  then you can remember that you can see the list of Friend Request sent to Your friend’s. In the TC video they show that you cannot response to the Friend Request anyway. My observation tells a different story, that if you click on the Friends photo to land into his/her profile then you can see his/her FR list and also confirm the requests. Confirming these Friend Request will not add them to your friend list (May be I have added them on my friends Friend List).

Sorry AmanJagdish , I have experimented with you accounts for a novel cause. Here is the video.

Note: I had no friend request pending in my FB account at the time screen video had been taken

  1. I’m finding it more difficult to trust these social networking sites given their lack of privacy concerns. The facebook CEO also seems to have done some shady things in the early days of FB and has showed complete apathy towards the privacy concerns of the users. The lack of privacy is reaching absurd levels in social networking with other sites like Blippy appearing on the scene. Hopefully, facebook makes some changes soon.

  2. Thanks friend. Good article. Thank you.
